In times when access to paper and ink was limited, you could learn a lot about what someone valued from their commonplace books. If music made it into your precious pages, then it must have meant a lot to you. Join us for an hour of 15th-17th a English and Scottish music found tucked between family recipes, inspirational quotes, poems, and medicinal cures. We’ll explore what this music shows us about a few of life’s constants: family care, spirituality, work, and play.
